Cleaning the invisalign trays involve primarily brushing. You are
required to remove the invisalign according to the prescribed ways
and thoroughly brush them. It is to be noted that unlike braces these
are to be taken out and then cleaned.
Rinsing
off the aligner-
the god thing is that it can be rinsed outside
the teeth. That is the added advantage of using the aligner.
Use
lukewarm water to clean the invisalign. Do not expose it directly to
hot water, as it can damage the texture. It can permanently damage
the aligner.
Brush
your teeth and floss them- Unlike metal braces the invisalign can be
taken out. So basically you can easily clean your teeth after it has
been taken out.
Make
sure the aligners are dried off-
it is important that the
aligners are dried off, after cleansing. Install them back only after
they are thoroughly dried.
Hydrogen-peroxide
solution-
To remove bacteria you can use hydrogen peroxide
solution. Use a diluted solution of the same with warm water, in the
exact same ratio (amount).
Vinegar
solution-
vinegar solution is excellent for removing tar and
unwanted microbes. Make a solution of distilled vinegar and warm
water in equal ratio and submerge the aligner for sometime in the
solution. Once that is done, take it out and rinse it thoroughly. If
you worry about the smell, do not worry. They smell does not persist.
